About GLC
Geelong Lutheran College is a co-educational Christian school which educates 1,400 Kindergarten to Year 12 students each year across our two campuses:
GLC St John's Newtown: 3-year-old Kindergarten – Year 6
GLC Armstrong Creek: Prep – Year 12
Our vision is to be a leading, innovative, Christ-centred learning community that inspires students to be caring, confident and creative citizens.
We are proud of our Lutheran traditions, values and approaches to learning that support the whole child. We believe every child who enters our gates, either at St John’s Newtown or the Armstrong Creek campus, is a child of God – uniquely made with a future that is bright and purposeful.
We are blessed with outstanding teachers, general staff, facilities and resources which support rich and innovative learning engagement both at school and beyond. We celebrate our diverse community, developing understanding and appreciation of the global context into which our young people will move beyond school.
Each year, we deliver a comprehensive transition program in both Prep and Year 7 which ensures students feel connected, safe and prepared for their next step at school. Orientation days, information packs, as well class mentors and class teachers all support the transition process.
We welcome you to attend our campuses at our next Open Day or College Tour mornings to see for yourself, the environment your child and family could join.
