Responsible Pet Program

Our St John’s Lutheran Kindergarten children have had fun learning about responsible pet ownership and dog safety. The children met Michelle and her lovely dogs Chilli and Sasha.

Lessons learned included:

• When dogs should be left alone

• Things we should not do to dogs

• How to tell if a dog is happy, scared or angry

• A safe way to approach and greet a dog

• What to do if we are approached by an unknown or aggressive dog
